[/IMG]ABOUT 500 MILES OVER 3 DAYS
East Coasters: Do try this from home:

Or, Annapolis. 2-4 to Prince Frederick; W to La Plata; 301 to Port Royal; 17 to Yorktown; W on Parkway to Williamsburg to Fox N' Grape B&B.
Myrtle Beach optional - via 17 or I-95
[17 was the old Ocean Hwy, Va to FL]
Next up Charleston/Savannah/Amelia Island/St Augustine
Daytona Beach/Orlando/Clearwater Bch
I-75 to I-10 to Perry (landmark only)
Hwy 98 from Appalachicola to Pensacola. Detour on 30A & all Beaches signs. Overnight near Destin.
I-10 in Pensacola to Biloxi's BeaRivage Casino. Next up French Quarter @ Hotel Provincial #532.
Memphis/Nashville/Bowling Green/Knoxville
I-81, then Skyline Drive to Front Royal, VA
Harpers Ferry WVA/Gettysburg/Hershey & home.
We did most of the above in my 77 Coupe years ago.
Over 3K miles in 10 days. Allow 12-14.
My wife and I have taken a picture of our 63 under all the lower 48 state signs, Canada and Mexico.
We live in Arkansas so our two longest trips have been in the 5500 mile range.
Our first was out to The Black Hills Classic in 2000 ( we were lucky enough to win the show) and then on out through the northwest to Washington and Oregon.
Our other 5500 miler was through the north east to Portland Maine (we were able to get 14 states on that trip).
You meet the nicest people driving a vette.

I love to drive. we drive to Vegas all the time We are driving back to Vegas in two weeks (and we have only been home for about two weks from driving out there the last time) for SEMA and to meet some other forum members.
Love the Power Tour did it 8 times now and will be going again in 08 driving the 76. the 76 has been on it three times.
it will be as much fun as the c5 as long as you don't brake something, been there done that too many times to count.everybody should take a vette down the tail of the dragon, or a ninja. I will get there one of these days
The Best of Corvette for Corvette Enthusiasts

Florida to the NCM for the NCM Experience, sort of like a christening for the car. Then to Detroit to visit my Mom. Across Michigan to Muskegon where we caught the ferry to Milwaukee. Across the Plains to Yellowstone and Grand Teton, then out to the Pacific at Astoria. Down Highway 1 through Redwood NP, Big Sur, Muir Woods, and Morro Bay. Back up through Sequoia and Kings Canyon and over the Sierras through Yosemite. Across US50 in Nevada (our favorite part of the trip) to Great Basin. Down through Utah through Cedar Breaks, Bryce Canyon, Zion, etc. Down through Arizona to the Grand Canyon, and then south to Tucson. Across New Mexico and Texas to Carlsbad. Across to Gulfport MS to visit the Mon-in-law. And hence home.
We spent as much of the trip as possible off the Interstates, time permitting. Probably 60-70% of the mileage was non-Interstate and we drove "briskly" pretty much all the time.
Total days, 27.
Total travel days, 24.
Total states, 23.
Total mileage, just over 10,000.
Average daily mileage, about 425.
Total LEO experiences, none,
Total car problems, none.
Total National Parks & Monuments, 18
Total times flat-out, 3.
Total curves, countless.
A once-in-a-lifetime trip. We'll never forget it.

I still own that '65 but it doesn't get driven much any more since I got the '02 Z06. Longest trip in the '02 was the 50th anniversary cruise from San Diego to Bowling Green, up to Indy, and back for a short 4900 miles. New memories being made every day.

That is quite an achievement. 48 states in a Corvette
