when peanuts was campaigning for the white house, i drove my 72 lt-1 from st. louis, mo down through louisiana ( went through transylvania, la ) and ended up in key west coming down the west florida coast. leaving key west i drove up the east florida coast to jacksonville and headed to atlanta. headed west from atlanta to dallas-ftworth and to los angeles. out of la i headed to san francisco, salt lake city, denver and finally back to st. louis. whole trip took 2 months. i was single, no girl friend and decided i needed a long over due vacation and have no idea how many miles i put on the car.
Probably it's first trip on the way home from Boston was it's longest. It went back there once, has been to N.J. several times as well as N.Y. I will take this car ANYWHERE! it's THAT fun, and I love driving it every chance I get!
My vette did from NJ to CA and six years later CA to NJ, in a closed coach. Trucker made the trip in 4 days, no problem. I'm guessing... a few mini thins/ coffee stacks, even less showers, no scratches and 0 miles on the vette. $3k each way, now that sucked.
