You guys have given me great advice and instructions for other things....and....I need your help again. I have a 2001 coupe with 37K miles on it. My windows have worked fine until 2 nights ago when I pulled into my garage. The passenger side window will not operate with either the driver's side switch nor the passenger side switch. You can hear a slight humm...but that's it. The window motor seemed strong prior to this and I never noticed it slowing or acting sluggish....no noises either...it just quit. Any thoughts?....Could it be a connection?...or do you think the motor went bad without warning? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Update: The hits didn't work. I've also noticed the automatic door lock isn't working on the door either. Am I just not hitting it hard enough....or...do you guys think it may be something else other than a stuck window?
Thanks guys! (and gals!)

Reason: Update
This seems to be very common in c5s. It also happened to a co-worked as well. Check this sight in the search, and you will have your answer.
My wife and then my son both put the window up and held the button to long. I believe this made the window too tight. The first time it happened, I only had to hold the button and slam the door a few times. However, that does not work now. The last time I had to remove the small cover under the door handle. Place a lond srew driver on the inside bolt and wack it with a hammer a few times, and low and behold the window works again.
I just had my passenger side window fixed on my '04. Same problem as you...................took it in and they replaced the motor and regulator. Works fine now. I was at the dealer about 2.5 hours.
I had the same problem on my 2000. I was advised to hit the door panel very hard with your fist while holding the window switch,. After two hits it worked, I was told the armatures in the motor will stick if not used often. The "hit" is usually enought to free them up. To avoid the problem in the future, be sure to activiate your windows every few days ..

Beating on it may work for awhile, but eventually you will have to replace the window regulator assembly.
I used to think it was due to not using the window, so I started rolling the window up and down every time I drove the car, but eventually it got where it would not work at all.
I replaced the window regulator and it work immediately, so I don't think it was the control module, relays, or wiring in my case.
The driver side window started making a gravel noise before it quit, but the passenger side failed without warning.
how hard is it to replace the regulator, mine finally gave out and the window is stuck half way down. where can i get one and how much. thanks, albert.
It would also be woth checking the connection in the door pillar area. Pull back the rubber gaiter and reseat and clean up the connector in there. Bill Curlee has posted up a picture on another thread
If not it sounds like the module is going bad
