Well, I thought I'd go for a nice fall ride yesterday and the car won't run. I got a traction control warning and the engine went into reduced power mode. After turning it on and off 5 times it decided to run but the check engine light is now on. What does all this mean and how can I keep driving the car? I'm going to the dealer to get the rear end sealed this week but I'd like to know what I'm talking about concerning the warning. Help. CIndy
Thanks for the tip on how read the codes. There are 13 codes but I think a lot are from disconnecting the battery during storage but 2 of them may help. C1275 & U1064. I looked them up from the code site but I don't know what they mean or what the abbreviations mean. Could you please help me understand them? Thanks Cindy

Cindy, the codes will have either C (current) or H (history) after them. If you have so many they could be from a long time ago. Neither of those codes are common for AH/TCS problems.
Best bet is to reset them after jotting down the numbers. Run it to see if the problem reoccurs and jot down whether its H or C. If its C it'll be easier to work out the problem. If its H it means its an intermittent snag. TCS and AH problems can be very intermittent and hard to diagnose.
