When your brand new $30-$50k GM, Ford or Chrysler vehicle gets recalled for a manufacturer's defect, do they come pick up your car and bring it back to you fixed? Do they reimburse you for your time and fuel to drop it off? Should we boycott all the major car manufacturer's because they don't?

Again, send them back and we will fix them and return them at no charge.
God forbid you should take five or ten minutes out of your day to have an actual conversation with a customer. Forgive me for even suggesting such an unreasonable proposition.

Are you really trying to compare recall procedures on millions of vehicles to the paltry 30 bad systems you sold? Seriously? That's quite a stretch, even by your standards. I'm sorry that you were not able to make enough money from my purchase to justify the cost of shipping a known defective product back for repair/replacement. That must be my fault as well. The old adage "You get what you pay for" comes to mind.

Since there's three inches of snow on the ground here, it's going to be a bit difficult to get the car into the air to remove the system. As soon as the snow clears, I'll take it to a reputable Corvette shop to repair your admittedly defective product. We'll take a close look at the rear fascia to determine the extent of the damage. Then we'll see if you're still winking and making light of the situation.

Since July, I've spent thousands of dollars with forum vendors and members with zero problems whatsoever. That is, except for you and Pypes. I have several hundred positively rated eBay transactions over the past nine years. Congratulations on being the ONLY vendor with whom I could not reach a satisfactory resolution.

Jeff, I am very sorry you feel I have mishandled this situation. I guess i should have just asked exactly what you wanted right up front. I appologize for not communicating properly. I was driving home tonight thinking about this situation and realised that basically you want us to pay to get the mufflers back to us. This really comes down to about $25. While this may seem like a very simple request, I am trying to avoid setting a precident in an industry that rarely does this let alone with a pre-production system. However, I'm putting my best Disney World management 101 thinking cap on and I came up with an idea. How about if you take the mufflers local and get the brackets welded and e-mail me the receipt and i'll reimburse you for up to $30. This welding task should take no more than 15 minutes. This way, you don't have to be without the system for 2 weeks and we don't have to give more money to UPS.

If anyone else has this same problem, this offer is good to any of you. If you are local to Southeastern PA, just e-mail and we can schedule a time for you to bring your car in.
