Pinging?
What does pinging sound like? I had a few lean condition bank 1 and 2 codes and an engine light, its gone now, but I was hearing this metal-rattling sound at speeds over 60 mph, but nothing at lower than that. Car is 03' MN6 I have VaraRam B2 and Borla Cat back, thats the only mods. I have Sunoco 93 Octane in there right now.

From what I recall in my earlier days, pinging is a very high-pitched tapping sound that can be very hard to notice if exhaust sounds are dominant. Unfortunately, too many rock concerts have left my high frequency perception, non-existent.

A mettalic tapping sound a little like a sewing machine that increases with engine revs and also in strength as you increase pressure on the accelerator.
Its caused by premature detonation in the pistons so it gives an idea of the type of noise.
