I agree that the Z06 is a great value. The frugal buyers should make their own . The NON-Frugal buyers that are to busy to make their own should buy the one from Z06 Parts. I don't think there are that many frugal people who buy Corvettes in general. If that were the case power windows and tilt wheel would be optional. In GENERAL (but not ALL) Corvette buyers are picky about their car and want nothing but the best for it.If it were an option for $500.00 I bet 95 % of the Z06's would have one. Corvette buyers usually opt for ALL THE OPTIONS. Again 50K for the BEST American sports car. What's an extra $400.00 for the BEST Partition. :boxing

The LAST thing I am is frugal. I bought the $99 Ecklers unit because I i looked at both available units and I believe it is the BEST one out there. Just because something is more expensive does not make it better.

as one of the first owners of the original partition (the $399 model) I would have to say that of all the choices out there, I still think it is the best one on the market.

the vinyl front it perfect, looks OEM, the rear carpet looks OEM and ya can put emblems (Z06 or C5 flags) on the front to set it off.

more expensive doesnt always make it better, but in this case I believe it does

that is just my $2 (remember, $.02 is to cheap ;) Hehehhhehhhee )

thanks and hope that helps

I agree that $399 model is made well. In fact, I bought one. Would I do it again, I am not so sure. The partition does look OEM except for the necessary air gaps that make it look a little wierd. It does cut the road noise down a tad, but not significantly. Certainly not a music studio. It's a little heavy as well, I'd guess it's made of 5/8" plywood. It really should be priced in the $150 range as it probably took $10-$15 of parts to make. Probably the best route would be to use it as a model and make your own.

Got mine from X-treme. The one from Ecklers wasn't out back then. It is expensive, but definitely worth the $$. I would choose this one again if I had to do it all over. JMHO
