any ideas why the remote cd changer will pay sometimes and then at other times it skips and sputters while playing the cd. Any thoughts on what is wrong.
What kind of battery is it, where is it, and how do you change it?
The car I'm buying has this problem and I can't drive 18 hours without CD!
Much appreciation to anyone with the answer.

Huh? The battery I spoke of is the car battery that is in the engine compartment. You know, box like thingy, 12 volts output (you hope) two maybe four posts... Can be red, yellow, black, clear plastic cased. etc. It helps to start your car...
i noticed my changer will play store bought cds fine, but is real skippy trying to play a copied cd that i made from my computer. i have a tape deck, so with a tape adapter i use my mp3 player and hide it in the ash tray. wire is hidden behind plastic
