I just ordered the Raybestos pads for my upcoming VIR track event. I will also run Ate blue for fluid. The pads I ordered I believe they are the ST 43. Anybody run these before? I used to use the Hawk Blue on my '05 Mustang GT and they worked great.
This would be a better question for the Autos/OT section.
I run Carbotech pads on the car for track days. Haven't ever heard of anyone running Raybestos sorry. Post this over in the OT section I'm sure someone knows someone that has tried them. The ATE fluid is great. The nice thing about it is that you can get it in clear or blue. That way you know when the old fluid is completely out of the system.
Raybestos makes great pads-For the street. I would not run them at the track. If you drive anywhere near at an aggressive level you will burn them up and have bad fade at the very least. No brakes would be the worst that could happen, not a good thing. Save them for the street and buy some track pads. I like Carbotech but there are several good pads out there. Do a search in the Autocross road race forum and you will get much more info on pads.

The Hawk HP series (HP Plus - HP Street) are performance "street" compounds ... though the HP Plus can work fine for track events like an HPDE. Hawk also offers a range of "track" compounds that are formulated for high temperature high torque track applications. The "Blue" series are part of that ... see the following link for info on the track compounds .... I tried the Blue 9012 and they were great on the track ... but impossible for the street ... just can't get them hot enough on the street for them to work ....
Raybestos pads are not track pads. Some time ago a PFC engineer said to me "Even the Raybestos Winston Cup car uses PFC brake pads".

Different pads. The race division is different then the street OEM division.
Wilwood pads are the more aggressive and race pads made by Rabestos but licensed to Wilwood.
Good friend of mine in my corvette club is an account representative for Rabestos. We have be trying to find a way to get race pads from Rabestos without ordierng 500 sets of pads.
