Ok. I have a question for all of the Magnetic Red owners out there. I am looking at an 04 Magnetic Red Vette, but I am not sure of the color. In the direct sunlight, it looks more red. In just normal light, it looks more burgandy. What do you other owners think? I want to get other point of views on the color. Thanks a bunch and I hope to be a new owner soon.
you are right in different light it looks totaly different , some red , some candy apple red , and kind of a burgundy . this is what makes the color one of the best colors and probably why there was an upcharge for it
I was looking for a Silver when I was Corvette hunting, but when I saw the Mag Red in person,it is an Awesome looking color. The paint really looks deep and has lots of shine.I love mine.
A lot of beautiful Mag Red Vettes out there. I see that most of them have the Tan interior. The one that I am looking at has the black interior but it is still as sharp. I still can't decide on the color. I do not want a red Vette, but when it looks burgandy, it looks fantastic.

Consider a blue Vette...they are very sharp.
Electron Blue and LeMan's Blue are both excellent!

You would probably be happier with '03 AE edition. That color is more burgandy.

I just missed out on an 04 Lemans edition with 5500 miles on it for $39,900. I tried to work out a deal with the local Checy dealer and he would not budge. We were about $1000 apart. After I walked out the door, he sold it to someone else. A couple of weeks after that, I walked out of the movie theater and it was sitting right there at the door. Boy was I p.o.'d. It was a sharp car.
Park a mag red next to a torch red and you will see how unique the mag red is. I have had more people comment on how much they love the color than I could count.
Now park a mag red next to an anniversary red 03 and you will notice the mag red really "pops out". BTW, mag red was not offered in 03, but it was in 04.
Chicks love Magnetic Red!....Well, I think it's more the CAR itself...but the Color is what draws them closer, hehehe
Mag Red is paint code 86U, but there are 2 different colors, one is Mag Red and the other is Mag Red II, but both are STILL 86U, the Year models are what make the difference. The car looks more traditional red in the sunlight, and as the day gets darker the color will deepen, become more of a rich burgundy color....
The Tan interiors are the most common, I found one with a black interior and one look and it was love...wrote a check and drove it home that night. I've gotten a thousand times more positive comments over this color than ANY of the other Corvettes I've EVER had generated.
