500 Rwhp
I want to get to 500 RWHP what is the best way to do it? That’s reliable and the lest expansive.
Car is a 97 Auto with 90,000 miles. All stock not including a Dual Airflow Intake System
Also what # will you run at the ¼ mile.
Thank you.

No doubt a supercharger will be the cheapest, most reliable way to get there.

And to all on to my previous post.......
You honest have one of 2 options(technically 3...... but....)You can either go FI or bigger displacement a.k.a a stroker.Problem with the stroker is that you will have to basically rebuild the engine against from the ground up.Take for example this:
http://www.motorsporttech.com/c5_engine01.asp and scroll down to the 475-485 hp package.First off thats 475 horse at the crank and second, that price is NOT including install.

All the bolt-ons and a big shot of spray will do it the cheapest.
Car should run high 10's with some supporting mods like tires and a converter. Getting there is gonna cost some cash though...

There is a forum member on here that obtained nearly 500RWHP on a budget. Can't remember his logon, but I will look for it. He is the guy that posted on the e-bay header threads.

You will also rag out your engine with that big shot.I wouldn't put anything over 150 shot on stock internals into an LS1.

That sounds like good value for money! There aren't many other platforms that can get you to 500hp for $10k!

Yeah, you'd be around 600 crank hp minimum. That's serious $$$.
On a 90K car? Very ambitious...

I have a blower on my DD. I find it very reliable. Also, at 10k cheap to get to 500 hp. But cheap is a relative term.

Easiest way to get to 500 RWHP, take checkbook and car to ECS and just grin and bare it.
