both headlights wont come up. I assumed it was the motors so i purchased new ones and replaced them and still no go. any ideas what the problem could be??
Do the headlamps turn on when the headlamp switch is rotated to the "on" position even though they may stay down? Is the twilight sentinel on or off at that same time? Try something simple...with the engine and ignition off, turn on the headlamps with the switch. Do they come up and on, or just on?
Depending on your answers will factor into what to look at first, but usually a burned fuse to start, then check out splice pack 100 at the forward right frame rail near the hood hinge, from there, the headlamp switch itself can fail as well as the headlamp controller.

One simple thing to check is the #6 fuse in the passenger footwell. Its not obviously something to do with the headlights but it will stop them coming up
I know because I blew the fuse when I fitted my Euro headlights:o

Thanks sorry it took so long to reply and answer your questions. but here go's with the ignition on and off the headlamps come on, but they wont come up. I also checked the fuses thinking that that may be the problem, No such luck.

what is the #6 fuse actually for? What did you replace it with?

if the lights are on but no pop up, you may want to check the wires to the motors. Somtimes they'll get squished in the lifting arm. Thankfully there's only about 8-12 inches of wire that could mess up and it's all in the headlight area. Have you worked on your headlights recently? It's strange that they would both fail at once.
If you have a manual, look into the headlight wiring, The motors function on a different circuit than the headlight bulbs. you'll notice this is you turn on your headlights then move the switch back one click. The headlights turn off but stay in the up position.
