I agree that the dash is the missing link here. Go easy on it though as too much there could be just that....too much.....but that advice might be too late anyway...
If you want a really complete flame job, I'd suggest about a gallon of gas and a match
You're paint person is incredibly talented.
...Thanks Greg... ...I agree on the dash flames...I'm planning on just a few flames licking out of the vents and maybe fill in a little bit around the glove box area and the passenger side of the center console that is kind of a void area shown in the pic below...
My friend Mark, the airbrush artist, is defiantly a gifted individual...
He was even chosen to airbrush the bathing suits on several of the '2008 National Hooter's Calendar Girls'!! ...If you happen to see the calendar, you'll see some of his best work yet...
I volunteered to be his assistant, even offered cash, but no calls yet ... ....
Z06JIM - fun stuff as always....hey, while you have the dash broke down, how about going with white gauges?? Also, I think a RED LED setup in your interior would look awesome. Just my 2cents
Thanks for the imput... ...I thought about the white gauge faces but decided to leave them black and have some small flames airbrushed on them.
I'm adding white LED's in the dash pod and various other locations to highlight the fllames....
Jim, saw your car at Funfest this year, it's an incredible moving piece of art. I also hope to get to see it in person again sometime during the comming season.
Much appreciated Dave.... ...I hope we cross paths again next year some time....
Jim, Have you thought about getting into therapy? Modify-ers-anonamous? Joining a checkers club? Something?
J/K man, Car looks awesome as usual. Looking forward to seeing it again this year at FunFest.
Hey Rich, at his stage in the game, I'm way beyond any help.... ....
Thanks and hope to see you again soon....
I bet with winter taking a real hold in KY it is a great time for tearing apart your interior and getting more flames, and I thought you were out of room for them, but looking forward to seeing the finished product
Thanks Steve.... ....it's defiantly a good time for doing serious mod work around here... ...been cold and wet for the last few days.. ...already looking forward to Spring or maybe retiring and move down to your neck of the woods to enjoy that warmer climate year round....
with you (Jim). If your into going to the car shows. You have to show something different each year. Or it just becomes the same old thing. Keep it going, your Vett looks great. Hope to see it in person some day.
wow!don't have big enough nads to under go that big a project.
...Although I've seen it torn down a lot farther than this before, it's kind of scary knowing I'm the one responsible for getting it back together right this time... ...
You have some big ones my friend!!!! Looks great and good luck!!! Keep us posted on the progess!!!
Hey Joe, wouldn't have tried to tackle this job if it weren't for the advise/help from forum members 'Patches', 'UforicC5', 'torchdvette', & 'PaceThis'.
Thanks for the help guys...

That picture is of his car when he did a total repaint. I believe he is just focusing on the dash board for now............
