I think that the seating possition from your regular car, truck, suv, van, or whatever is way different than that of the vette. Adjust the seat every now and then to ease up the pressure points that are developed from long distance driving.

Maybe your seat foam has started to disintegrate? Perhaps check into replacement foam? Either that or try this:
But seriously, good luck and hope you get this sorted out!
I may have to replace it with the stock/aftermarket one but I just need the bottom part.

Coming back to IL from CO was different!! I was hunched over for the whole trip because there was ICE/SNOW all over the Interstate!!! I went 55-65 MPH the whole way... After almost slding off the road 3 times I slowed down more and more!!! So the HUNCHING was not a good idea!!! But I still averaged 28 MPG!!!
A vette in the snow and not just to work? That's gutsy.

Have an 02 now and the seats had some extra padding put in them when they were redone and I have noticed they are quite comfortable. Took a 1200 mile trip a month ago and had no problems. The extra padding keeps the leather taught improving the appearance of the seat also. Very happy with it.
I guess the new padding is the trick.
What part of Austin are you from???
Ever go to The Lone Star Roundup? Day at the Drags? Alamo Draft House or the Continental club?
No but I think the padding is the problem. I had it re-done but it's still thin.
Friend who also has a C5 told me to tilt the front of the seat up on long trips. He learned the trick from flying commercial planes for years. Has always worked for me.

I have a 04 Dodge 3500 and a 07 Ford Fusion and both have pretty sturdy seats. The Vette's seat is a little soft. I also had a 95 Seville and those seats were the best ever!
Sold the Caddy but should have kept the seats.
