I'm another fan of the C5 sports seats. I'd say mine are the most comfortable seats for a long ride I've ever had.

Maybe you're due new foam

You have you recently completed any mods? Maybe the pucker factor hasn't worn off yet!

When I changed out my oak interior to pewter I switched out the foam on both seats and added a little extra cushioning for my tush.

I purchased this from a fabric shop

Cut to fit in the hollow section of the bottom foam

The required after pic

Hope this helps you out

Could be the seat foam has gotten compacted over the years and needs to be replaced. Either that or you just need a pillow.

Could be your seats do need work. My wife and I both agree the seats in our 2002 MY coupe are the most comfortable seats we have ever sat in, bar none. They hold you like they are form fitted (which with the air bolsters, they are). Good luck figuring yours out. With all the adjustments available you should be able to find a position that works.

Question; why the sport seats over the standard? Is there a difference in density?

Awesome look! We have to do some running around today. I’ll look into it.
Anything that helps when I replace the foam. I just can’t figure out what the difference is and Ecklers didn’t know either.
Thanks

I was finally able to get an answer from Eklers technical support (not customer service) this morning.
The difference between the sport and standard seat foam is the extra slits and NOT the foams density.
Saved an extra 30 bucks per seat!

Hmmmmmm, not what else can I buy???

WHen I bought my 2000 this fall I drove it back from South Carolina to Texas, which was 1,005 miles in 16 hours over two days. It was the longest solo trip I have ever taken and the seats never bothered me, like I thought they would and I am 6'2" 200lbs.

Default bad traveler...............

I broke my back , hip and pelvic bones in a motorcycle accident , an was partially paralized for 4 months. I'm not a good traveler , I use my 40' motorcoach to travel any kind of long distance because the seats are custom made to my person. But when I went to picked up my Z06 , which was 650 miles away I had to drive the '01 Saturn SL2 (our tow vehicle behind the motorcoach). My back was killing me.

After a two day stay, I drove back and was totally suprised to find that I felt great. I didn't want to get out of the car .Of course it could be the adrenalin of just cruising in the Z06 or the fact that driving the Z06 took two hours off the return trip.[IMG][/IMG]

The '88 and '90 C4 had decent seats also.

Herk; my chiroprator told me to remove the wallet from my back pocket . Not only did it help when I drive but I don't carry one at all anymore ( the wife has all the money anyways, LOL) and alot of everday back pain went away.
