Jim, I have to be honest and tell you I cringe every time I see that picture but then I tell myself that it is always darkest before the dawn and everything else you have done has turned out great. I can't wait to see the end results. I thought of something just now, have you considered putting mini flames on the "Corvette" under your radio to match the flames on the "Corvette" on your rear bumper? Just a thought........Mark
Thanks Mark.... ....that's a good idea about the stereo face plate... ...I'll have to give that some thought....
:o ...Hey Steve, looks like I'm going to have to rip my interior apart a little more often to keep that mess under control... ...
Jim,
There are times when I think I'm gaining a little ground on your car with my mods and then you go and pull something like this. Your car is truly a work of art and probably one of the best known (and photographed) C5's on the planet. It's going to look even better when your done. When you run out of ideas for your car, you can help me with mine.
Thanks to the help of forum members "Patches" & "GB Vette" ,I decided to tackle the steering wheel removal process last night. First time doing this particle job and was a little nervous but, like anything else, having the right tools and information sure makes it a lot easier.
I bought the puller & legs from the local Napa Auto Parts Store and it actually only took a couple minutes to remove the wheel after getting the air bag assembly out of the way.
Hopefully will have this project completed in time for a show coming up in Nashville, TN next month...
Thanks again for the help guys .....
If I ever took my dash this far apart and put it back together, I'd have enough pieces left over to open a Corvette interior parts store. If I went to sleep before I put it back together, I wouldn't remember where the first screw went.

How do you sleep Jim?
Hey A.J., it does seem I've been having a lot of nightmares lately.. ... ...
If I pulled my car apart like that it would officially turn into a garage queen, I don't think I would ever get it back together! And after it was towed to my Chevy dealer and I received a quote on the repair, junking it and buying a new Z06 would probably be cheaper. You are a brave sole and I hope you have good luck putting it back together!
