Wire Harness C-5
Does anyone know what kind of tape is used from the factory to wrap the wire harness? Not the plastic corragated plastic cover but the tape under it. I found a bad ground from the computer to the engine block and had to open all harnesses up to find it. I dont want to use electrical tape because it becomes brittle. Its not electrical tape is it???
And where can I get it. The local Chevy Dealer is not to sure either!!

Don't quote me on this, I think if you shop around, you can find electrical tape made for cold weather use. It's pricier than ordinary tape. You won't find it in WalMart.
You're right about most black vinyl tape, it's not worth a *hit in cold weather.

Hey, nice car, mine is the same color!! 98 Lingenfelter in the process of re-building. A freind of mine knocked the front end off. So I got it for a song. But putting the front end of one of these back together when someone else stripped it has a few days of head scratching involved. Anyway thanks for the info, I'am a contractor so I can ask my elect supply house about it, Never thought of it! ,Bob.
