First, there have been more negative comments about the TomTom brand than other brands on the motorhome forum I spend some time on.
Second (especially, if you want something a little different), take a look at the Lowrance iWay 600C http://www.lowrance.com/Products/Automotive/iWAY-600C/.
I do some fishing and Lowrance is well known for their excellent (and well built) fish finders and other electronics. I ended up buying a 600c and have been very, very pleased. Lot's of features and very intuitive to use. Used it on a trip to Arcadia National Park and back this fall. It even tracked the campground roads in parks.
And, if you boat, it has contour maps of many lakes and waterways.
Well worth taking a look at it.
