Default Forum Invitations?

Does this forum have any kind of invitations to print out? I was driving along the other day and saw a few Corvettes parked on the street, and was wondering if those people were members of the forum. Then I wondered if there was some kind of flyer I could put under his wiper or something saying hey my name is _____ and I'm inviting you to this forum. My username is _______. Just wanted to say hello and check out the website.

Maybe you could keep a few in your glovebox if you come across some people who want to check it out.

Anything like that? Is that a stupid idea? Iunno. Let me know what you think.

Haven't seen anything like that, but you could print up some business cards with what you wrote above and pass them out. Good idea.

I think it is a good idea. I just did a post on "The Best Vanity Plate??" and wondered why I had never seen the subject car on the forum. I am sure the owner would have a lot to contrbute.

I haven't seen anything offered through the forum, but there is nothing preventing us from proceeding on our own like JDs00PewterCoupe suggested.

Nice Idea but I wouldn't place it under his wiper - just hand it to him. Some people on this forum wouldn't like you touching there car.

and that's exactly what I did years ago. One side is my email address and the url to my Corvette web page.

The other side has the URL for Corvette Forum printed.

Great idea. I'm sure you could run a thread to design one. I'm sure the mods would sticky up

I may have problems finding Corvettes to stick 'em on though

I understand what you mean, but I wouln't know how else to let the guy know. I never ever see anyone getting into the Vettes. Only the cars alone.

We used to have a forum decal so if they looked up close to your Vette
(and a lot will) they would see it. Don't know if they still make them?

I was on another forum that when you paid to join you got a package of a couple window decals/clings, flyers, and a few business cards. Business cards can be expensive for people to go out and make their own so this other forum had a downloadable document of the flyers for people to print on their own. They were the size of half of a normal sheet of paper, this way the document you print makes two per sheet.

I've been thinking about that for this forum. We can leave a spot at the bottom to say you've been invited by and people can put screen names and/or email addresses if they want. I'm going to take a stab and designing something like I'm mentioning later when I'm not at work.

Good deal. Let me know when you are done with them. I'll print a few out

Maybe someone should check with an admin/owners and suggest this concept? It would be great advertising...

Everytime I run into a Corvette I'd like to invite they are already members

CF is run by a corporate entity now, let them worry about advertising.
