I should have the Proto-type samples by mid to late next week, and I'll have the pics up about 10 minutes after I get them 
Seriously, we have been working on this for over a year now, and I am very excited about it finally getting done. The major issue was finding someone who could do the Black Chrome in a consistent fashion. We have had 5 different companies try it, and all were not up to our standards.
Once I have the Proto-Types and green light the project, it will be 3 to 4 weeks until we get a full production run.
Most likely we'll pull 20 or so sets from the first production run so we can at least get some out there in the marketplace...

Update 2/22
Ok, here is the update! As some of you know I took a Little trip last week
to head over to Phoenix and do some Black Chrome Stuff and to hang out with Brian and Jeff from GHL.
Ironically the best looking Black Chrome I could find anywhere was from a little company
that does coffee mugs, of all things

We have had several batches of black chrome run and could not come close to the finish
from this little coffee mug company.

Until now
I would say we are 3-4 weeks away on the letters. The tooling is slightly different because we have to dip them before the adhesive is put on. With the SS inserts we just blast it with the laser, adhesive and all... So with these we have to dip them then plate them with the adhesive, which is an extra step or repeated work since they have already been blasted...
The rest of the engine compartment pieces are proceeding as scheduled, tooling is the major time and money issue. We have not decided if we are going to release it in pieces or just go to market with the whole thing, but we are doing the C5 first
We are still in flex scheduling for the engine compartment pieces and are currently 8-16 weeks out of production due to the fact that fitments have not been finalized on any of the pieces yet.

Dunno why, but black chrome lettering on my QS '01 sounds like a neat idea.... though I may do a 'wait n see' on it (as I usually do for visual mods). Can't wait to see some shots!
