Use gloves??
Santa brought some soft, unlined leather gloves. Thought I would try driving with them.....MAN, what a difference....steering felt more solid and the stock shifter even felt smoother.....Anybody else drive with gloves??

No gloves for me unless it is about 10 degrees outside. But then again, when it is that cold I don't drive the vette. I use the DD, a 2000 Ford Ranger. The heater works great. However, I do miss my 5 series Beemer, it had a heated steering wheel.

These are not the professional version....Sort of like gentleman's work gloves...But now I will get some of those (You know..the kind the British used in those old movies) These sure added to the driving experience though...
I keep a pair of these in each of my cars... and a pair in my motorcycle jacket...
Full-leather palm and fingers with ventilated Tricot back
Box-finger construction with Lycra side panels
This glove fits like a second skin
I wear them summer and winter and they are some of the most comfortable gloves I own... (and I have dozens of pairs of gloves, I guess I'm a glove junkie). They cost less than $15 a pair and when you wear them out, just throw them away and start a new pair. I buy 3 or 4 sets at a time when they're on sale, which they are right now for under $11.
I wear them for two reasons... 1) they get me into the right mindset for driving my car, sort of like strapping on a seat belt, and 2) they are a whole lot cheaper to replace than a leather steering wheel.
(If you're interested, I can send you the link...)

I started driving with gloves when I had a 65 with a teak wheel to keep the oil from my hands off the wheel. Got so used to driving with good soft leather gloves that I never stopped and use them still today. I think they give you a better grip on the wheel, especially with aggressive driving.
