Anything can of course be done Chip, but these are sealed units. That in my opinion, is a big plus in keeping moisture & condensation out of them

Wow, those are awesome looking lights! Looks like the L5 ones are gonna have some tough competition!!

But, in all seriousness....if you could get those painted, you could make a killing!

Chip and the young Mr. Lau makes a good point. If the headlights could be painted within the housing to match the color of the car, I would buy a set.

Black or chrome just don't do it for me.

Maybe if I saw them on a car, I would change my mind.

Hey I thought we could use the word eBay now......

Think about the mass majoirty color of Corvettes. Red///or white I unno but anyways think about the color combo. Black with red doesnt look good unless there are other body parts to balance it out. Same goes with chrome...actually, I think chrome is only allowed on wheels IMHO so...yeah. OEM colors blend in more and if the Vette was lowered, a different color could distract the people gazing upon the Vette from the aggressive stance. my $.02.

Wow, $649 fo the black depos is a great price for this setup. We have a guy in our corvette club who has something close to these, but they don't have the 'slits' on top. He said he payed $1,100 for them on that other site and bought the HID kit for them also. They look really good in person, but he painted his MY to match the car. The bulbs are too blue IMO because he used 10k xenon bulbs instead of 8k. In any case, I would be very interested in getting this in GB for the black ones if it happens. I'll try to get some pics of his setup at the next meeting

Yeah man, just because we own a corvette we have to pay double the price on everything with the exact same worksmanship and material.

Well you do have a couple of options. You could buy a different brand that does have a removable lens so that you can paint the inner housing.

Or you could do what my buddy NemesisC5 did, and paint the lens in body color leaving a just small aperture for the lights to project through.

The possibilities are unlimited

These are actually a different brand, but look similar.
Richard

Amen! But back on topic....

The ones NemesisC5 has are L5 ones, which are very good, but they have screws on the outside which detract (is that the right word?) from the look. Teh ones Deop has have no screws.......just so you all know

I'm very happy with the Depo front corners that you tinted for me, Richard. If the quality of these non-popups matches their other products, you could be onto something here.

Regarding the "painting" of the lens, perhaps you could offer some sort of tint option similar to how NemesisC5 did his lights? Just a thought. I'll be subscribing to this thread!

Indeed my friend. I was actually going to go with the Chrome Depo's. The lenses would have been painted body-color (sebring silver) and my front apertures would have been lightly smoked. But now you have me thinking ... I'll bet the Chrome Depo's with a full lightly tinted lens would be real sweet. The smoked tint over Chrome looks real rich like your DRLs. Actually I think I'll try that first. If I don't like the tinted Chrome look, I'll just paint over that. That's an outstanding idea. MANY thanks

I highly suspect the finished product to look Bad-To-The-Bone Thanks again for the great idea. If you decide to go with a set, your tint treatment is on-the-house!
Richard

I suspect the final treatment will look wicked. Let's hope Depo can live up to their end of the bargain - especially with the final fit and finish.

If I hadn't just lost my job of 26 years I'd be all over this. Indeed though, once I'm in the market I'll be all too happy to take you up on your tint offer, Richard!!
