Been there -Done that! Twice. Broke the shifter cable in the garage and called AAA to take to the shop. Broke my right ankle and used AAA to take the car to the shop and back.

Not at all,,,,, I think that is good planning on your part. Can't drive it might as well work on it ! Better than wasting those nice summer days sitting at a speed shop
