Topic comes up every 6-months or so. It doesn't work unless you do some major re-engineering of the chassis and/or body. There isn't any room.

next up, someone will post a picture of the C5-R with sidepipes and say that it works for that car

then someone else will post a better picture that shows the headers leading around the outside of the frame and how the wider body on the C5-R lets you do it (the rockers are right next to the frame on production cars.

Then someone will suggest NASCAR style pipes.

Then someone will say there isn't enough ground clearance for them

Then someone else post something about a pipe that is 1" x 8" that could squeeze under there and says he's going to try to make it fit.

Then we wait a while

then the thread fades in to the history. with nothing ever happening

----------------------------------------

almost forgot about the world challange or GT-1 style cars. those cars either have a tube frame, or the cut a hole in the frame for the exhaust to go out, which would work on a street car if you can figure out where else you want to put you gas tank.

There was someone that suggest routing the hot exhaust through the gas tank...never heard anything else from him

-------------------------------------

back to discussion on which floor mats to buy or the endless debate on BSMs (I used to like them, now I'm not a fan)
