There is a guy in the small town where I live and he had never been in a airplane and asked me to take him flying. So I picked him up in my vette and we drove to my hanger(15 miles away) and found out he had never been in a vette either. So we took care of two things that day.He loved the vette and went up with me in the Cessna 182 several times!

Not a pilot but I do work on them for my job. Work for a major airline. Lots of fun most of the time. The last airline I worked for the pilot did let me fly though. Had to go to Vegas and fix a door problem with another mechanic on a 757-200. Got the door working enough to get it back to Phoenix. On the way back from Vegas, the pilot came back to talk for a while and asked us if we wanted to sit in the left seat. Needless to say, we jumped at the chance. Best time I have ever had in an airplane. I got to try and bring it down from altitude on the final and I guess I was going down pretty fast from what he was saying. He never said anything though and after he took over, he said I was descending like the United Flight that augered into the ground. Figured it must have pretty steep. But it was fun.

This was many moons ago.

That's funny, great story. I've had a few ferry flights with maintenance on board it was a lot of fun. I remember one trip in a very nice ice storm on a maintenance ferry in a SA227, those guys got real nervous about all the ice waiting for it to build up enough to blow off. I reminded him why we get picky about stuff like that when its not working. He had a real appreciation after that I truly believe. I think the blades slinging ice against the cabin made it sound worst! LOL. We had a great time with them though.

Commercially rated fixed and rotary wing pilot.

I fly MH-47G's now but used to fly Blackhawks as an instructor in 101st.

There are a lot more of us here than I thought!

I started flying when I was 11. I kept it up for a few years then just went back to simulators. I haven't been behind the controls in a while.
