Yeah, I am talking completely keyless. Like you open the car door, sit down, touch the button, and your engine roars to life.
Isn't this how the C6 works? There is a proximity sensor (RFID?) and as long as the key is in your pocket, it works just like you want. Both door locks and ignition.
Like there aren't ENOUGH issues with the security and starting, add even MORE complex electronic for no good reason. I want to be able to start me car if I have the key-imagine your proximity fob dying and you can't start your car.

Of course they've thought of that, there is a hard key hidden inside the fob which you can pull out and use if the battery is dead (for example).
My Nissan Murano has that system. You just carry the fob in your pocket, the button on door handle unlocks the door and you just turn the ignition housing. I thought it would be a gimick, but I do like it.
Okay, that technology is slightly different from what is on my laptop. Obviously more reliable too!
But speaking of Kelly, shall we all take a minute to allow our minds to wander...
Ahhhh, yes........
Now, back on topic. I think I would agree with those who have said that it would probably be more trouble than it is worth. Also, some of the security suggestions I have seen on other threads are probably more effective with a fraction of the cost.
I think you would be unpleasantly surprised with a pic of her now with no makeup and an untouched photo. Saw her the other day in just such a state. On the original post, I have a push button start on our snowblower and don't want one on our vert.
