Unless you are going to the track or are really hard on brakes go with the ceramic. I just did the front and back for $79.98.
Autozone had Morse ceramic pads for $39.99 a set.
Bye Bye dust. Ceramic pads are also alot more friendly on the rotors. Semi metalic pads tear up rotors fast.
Before you get your Hawk HPS pads installed consider spray painting the back of the pads silver, chrome, body color, or whatever will look good on your car.
Use the 500 degree high temp paints available at your local auto parts store.
Great recommendation! This is my next cheapy cheapy mod. Thanks.
As for the Hawks HPS pads, they are fantastic. I have them on my car and the there is no comparison to both my brothers vettes, with stock pads. The dust is very limited on my rims. Good choice.
the squealing is most likely just vibration between the calipers piston and the back of the pad. every car i have ever had that has squeaked has been solved by spraying "disc brake quiet" on the backs.
