Leaking battery solution?
I've learned a lot from you guys and am familiar with the leaking battery acid on the computer issue. I've also been around boats for a long time and a lot of small curisers have plastic battery boxes to keep the battery safe & dry. What do you think about cutting a plastic boat battery box to house a battery in a C5?

Sounds like a great idea.
Most members that have had issues normally fit a battery mat under the battery. I went the high $$ route and fitted an Optima Yellow Top

it will work but the hold down may be a problem
I'd just get a gel cell or an Optima

A couple of bungie cords should fasten it in there pretty good.
Just sign me Bubba.

He's right, get ANYTHING except an AC DELCO side post battery. The '03 - '04 models had top post batteries, they are OK. Many members just replaced their batteries from Autozone, Sears, Costco, and haven't had any further problems. If you have an original AC Delco replace it!

Yeah I've already got on Optima red top in there and was going to put a mat, but I though a box might be another option.

The red top won't leak so you will just be wasting time and money on a problem that's not there.
Just stick with Optima, problem solved.
