Default Where To Start

Last Saturday I picked up a 2002 QuickSilver z06. I'm trying to figure out where I should start for mods. I bought it off the lot with a short throw already (not sure of brand). As far as I know the car is stock though. No first to forth either, so I'm sure that was eliminated already too.

This Saturday I will be having the windows tinted 5% all around, and I hope to have the stereo done by the end of the month and a personalized plate.

Any suggestions on where to start? Performance or cosmetics? Also, any stereo suggestions or places I could find good sub boxes for this car. I would also like to blackout the car, so where is the best place to order a blackout kit, or should I have the lights professionally tinted?

Thanks in advance for all the help!

Man, you are ready to rock and roll with this thing! I'm preparing to do my first expensive mod to mine too and struggled with the same question; cosmetic or performance?

Looks like I'm going with cosmetic. My rationale you ask? Oh...okay, you didn't.

The car already performs beyond what I expected and the opportunities for *****-out driving don't come very often without serious consequences. So performance, above what it does now, is not a priority right now.

However, I really do want to make this car "MINE". It needs to be personalized. Wheels are an option and maybe tinting and interior stuff and under the hood. But I want something that can be noticed from a distance. So, I'm going to have some custom painted stripes done that will be subtle, but there, and incorporate some ghost or drop-shadow flames on the hood portion of the stripes....then at the rear, the stripes will bleed into the entire width of the rear valance. And probably use the same slightly darker shade to fade out from the side scoops just to tie the whole thing together.

So for me, this time, it's cosmetic.

My car was already modded when I got it to a extent. For Power gains I would start off the exhaust(headers and catback) Cold air intake.

For appearance you could do the stainless Corvette letters in the back and front of the car, letters in the car on the airbag and or steering wheel or both. Wheels, lower the car on the stock bolts.

A great place to go for the Blackout kits is here.http://www.vetteshop.cc/default.asp?...55&NID=4417781

A trunk liner would aslo look great, There are so many sponsors here with great items, it could keep you busy for hours.

First mod I'd go with would be a quality Cold Air Intake like the Callaway Honker

I always start with cat back exhaust, Cold air intake, wheels/tire combo. Its all up to what look you are going after. You have a good looking car already!

I'd suggest you find your ending point first. Then when you know your goals you can figure out where to start.

Its getting tinted and lowered this weekend. End of the month I'll have the stereo done. And by the middle of March I'll have done a catback. I'm just going back and forth between which catback set up I want to go with. Any suggestions and sound clips?
