that you would take it out on those roads.

I'm not so worried about your abilities because you obviously knew how to handle it, but those around you.

At least you enjoyed the ride?

Glad you made it in one piece!

My A4 2K 3.15 vert window sticker says 17 and 25. On the DIC i regularly get 21 in town and 26-27 highway at 70-75mph. Sounds like you may need a tune up unless you have some heavy mods like some here.

Stock A4 Vert

I'm getting 19-20 around the back roads. The best I've ever seen was 28 on the flat highway in NV. Around England on a run I can just about make 26-28 if I try hard.

I usually get 22.5 mpg going to work. I have gotten over 32 mpg on a trip. I also have gotten around 16 mpg on short, in-town trips with plenty of stop lights. MN6 here.

I enjoyed EVERY gallon ! (110,000 miles on a 1998)

My car must have been built on a Friday because I only get 22mpg on the highway in 6th gear @ 1500rpm. That's measured btw, not from the DIC. I'd love to get the mileage some people on here are posting. My avg is 18.

I had never driven a C5 before and the roads were a nightmare. at least 20 cars in the ditch, 3 SUVs on their roofs. I had just bought the car, It had only ever seen rain once and was perfectly clean but I needed to get it home and an enclosed trailer would of been too expensive. It really sucked to get it all dirty but I ran it through the high pressure touchless carwash up the street from my house on my way home and went 10mph to my house.

It's in my garage safe and warm awaiting spring. And it's clean again too. I can't tell by looking at it that it went in the salt for a few hours.

It'll be fine, i'm sure. It is mostly composites that cannot rust and I was carefull to clean it really well top and bottom as soon as I got home.

This will make it real simple:

Use your cruise control if you want to be thrifty.

Use your foot when you want to get there a little faster

I get 26-32mpg when I use the cruise control feature. The computer can press the throttle lighter than my foot can so I get better fuel economy and obviously more consistant 'light pedal' pushing.

But in normal driving conditions I'm too thrilled to be driving a fast car so I get like 11-12mpg. ::Blush:: But I have a hell of a time doing it!

Autobohn driving does not count for mileage purposes. It counts for smileage purposes.

I've got a six speed in mine, but I get anywhere from 16-20 in town and 29-32 on the highway.

16-17 city driving in my 02 Z.

Work is only 5 miles away, so a tank lasts a while even with that mpg
