Default homelink visor

I recently installed a homelink visor in my convertible. From what I can figure out they we not available on our C5's. My past 3 cars all came with some form of garage door opener built in. To me it is almost a necessity with a vert or coupe with the roof open. My question is how many of you have them and how many didn't know they existed for the C5. Tom

I have one. Quite a few of us on the 50th Registry bought them in 2003 from C5 Creations.

Where'd you get it from and how much (and how difficult was the install)? I've tried it out in my father's XLR and it's definitely a neat setup.

I got mine from C5 Creations.. Prices are on their website. They are a little spendy but they do all the work.

I really like mine also. I found a used visor at a salvage yard and installed the transmitter into mine. It was very easy, and the instructions can be found on the forum.

Me too - I can't imagine not having it now. My '07 Cadillac has it, heck, even my '98 Blazer had it! I never understood why the C5 didn't.....can't be weight savings....

Would have been a nice standard feature for the C5 - but at least you can get it retrofitted.

I didn't get the homelink visor, I got homelink mirror. I don't know about the visor. I like my mirror. It is a quality piece of work.

Either way, I agree, it's better than a bunch of remotes somewhere.

I just installed the 50-genk60 mirror by gentex. Homelink, temp gauge, compass, dimmer and map lights. Sort of a small pain in th azz to install but the end results were great.
Too bad they quit selling them w\ the map lights!
