Default Straight Pipes or X Pipe

Like the topic says.

I currently have TPIS Long tube headers to straightpipes and then to corsa pace car exhaust. I wan't to get the X pipe but not sure if it will decrease or increase my performance. How does it affect the sound aswell.

Increase. From what I know, it equalizes the pressure between both sides and helps performance. Better sound too from what I hear....my 2 cents

You really should have a crossover in the exhaust. Not only for a little better performance, but for a better sound as well.

Have you considerred and O-pipe? http://kalecoauto.com/index.php?main...&products_id=2

Yes

I also have TPIS LTs, Random Tech high flow cats and x-pipe, then straight pipes, no mufflers.

and x-pipe does balance the back pressure slightly.

if you dont have an x-pipe, and your car is running great, I would not bother. Spend your money on something else.

Have have the CORSA exhaust, but no headers (yet)..without the X-pipe the sound was terrible (in my opinion) with gurgle and popping, sounded like a boat..I added the X-Pipe (Corsa) and it really "cleaned up" the sound...sounds much better...I would say there is no real performance increase by adding the X-Pipe....

What do you think of your headers? You have the set-up I want, but I have not yet been able to justify the cost, as they are kinda expensive...plus a tune as well......what do you think...

my .02 cents

READ THE DESCRIPTION

"You've heard of the Y pipe.. the X pipe.. the H pipe.. nothing can touch the O pipe!!! It provides 100% back pressure feedback on ALL engines!! Torque increase and kuneutson valve float brings in much lower revs so you don't hurt your motor! Not CARB Legal. Please specify standard or polished finish. Product shown is dual input O-Pipe with standard finish."

I have TPIS headers on my '02 coupe with R T cats, Corsa X-Pipe, matched up to quad tip B&B Bullets. Sounds great at any speed.

X pipe will give a slight boost in torque, and "smooth out" the sound.Reduces the mentioned crackle and pop,and really reduces the drone on the highway Rode in a friends 01 to fun fest(about 100 mi.)With stock H pipe and Corsa touring.Crackle pop on decel ,a little drone (not much, but there). He had the X pipe installed there,BIG difference going home.Nice growl on start up,nice rap on the gas, almost no crackle pop on decel, quiet on the highway,a nice smooth muted purr.I'd say on the X pipe.

I have the Corsa Touring with AR Headers (and X-pipe). I love the sound. I think the X-pipe reduces the gurgle/pop due to smother air flow path which will increase scavenging.

In other words, it helps you vent your gas better.

I'd get the x-pipe - will help a bit with the exhaust flow. A good one to buy is the Bassani.

When I only had Corsa Pace Cars on I had a muffler shop fab up one for my setup and it worked and sounded better than my H-Pipe and with headers it will make the exhaust sound better, oh I used this home made X-pipe with TPIS headers and it got me to 742 rwhp with my blower

Nice I have TPIS long tubes to straight pipes and then to corsa pace car exhaust. Will be ordering X pipe soon. Any vendor you recommend?

No, since I had a muffler shop one made up and it worked fine, I went with the AR Headers as I wanted a deeper sound with my Pace Cars, they did get me 7 more rwhp over the TPIS so those headers (TPIS) are decent
