I do not work for Ecklers so there for I have nothing to gain, but here is the link http://www.ecklers.com/reunion.asp? to the actual show information. It clearly states that the O-site registration opens at 12 - 4 (space permitting). This show was a sellout, so therefore there would be no cars there at 12 pm. Show car parking was not until 3 pm. This earlier show car parking was for those coming a long distance, or for those that simply want to get there the day before the main show. I did not arrive until about 9:15 on Saturday, so I cannot say for sure, but I bet the majority of the cars arrived on Saturday.
Again I do not believe that Ecklers is trying to pull anything here, except to state that the main show and judging was to be on Saturday.
It is to bad you feel like you drove down here for nothing, but the show on Saturday was a huge success. The place was packed with people and truly great cars on display as you can see from the photo's I posted earlier.. You missed a great show.

I was there at NOON on Friday. Your advertisements said the show was for TWO days, FRIDAY and SATURDAY. I chose to come Friday. When I got there at noon, your booth wasn't there, there were only five or six vendors there and eight cars. I NEVER said or implied that more did not show later, although you have consistently avoided the issue on time.

If you only wanted the show to run for Saturday, then your ads should've said that. If you say it's going to be open at 11:00 on Friday, then I shouldn't come there at noon to see eight cars, one of which hadn't even been washed, a half-dozen vendors and you nowhere around.

I don't work for Ecklers, I don't work for your competition. I am not a disgruntled customer with an axe to grind. My ONLY motivation here was to warn my fellow members not to travel all the way to Orlando expecting to see a good show.

We have already established what YOUR motivation here is, so don't start questioning MY credibility. I'm not the one collecting a paycheck from them.
First of all...MY credibility here is not in question. I would do NOTHING to jeopardize this. WE WERE OPENED FOR BUSINESS by 8:30am (30min late due to weather). I'm hopping that a forum member here will chime in here, as to dispute your false claims.

Click on our add, and read the Reunion information. PLEASE "Copy & Paste" any information you find there, as to bolster your claim as to the "Car Show" starting by 11am. as you have stated. The show cars didn't even have to be there until Saturday! Clearly stated in our add.

Two things YOU need to do: First. Get a new watch, as your seems not to keep time very well. Second: Don't post false information on an open forum. By doing so is not only unfair, but unethical as well.

Case closed.

...actually thats the deal...
In fact the reason parking was available was so that those who drive in from out of town would have a place to park and could even leave their vettes with security for the evening!!

I have never been a part of the previos day activities...
...but most every has known that Friday was a setup and organize the locale for Saturdays festivities... It is Judgement Day!

...again ...there was a great turn out.
Sorry you were not able to see the main event.
...and I hope to see you at the 30th reunion next Spring in Titusville on Saturday...

peace

I guess you can't please everyone. I was there with my son and had a great time. Alot of foot traffic and alot on friendly people, great food and a great Hotel (Celebration Hotel) and like the one person said lot's of things for the ladies to do. We were told at the awards meeting that there were 301 cars entered.
Yes I would like to see the swap meet return.
It WILL be at Ecklers next year!

Oh yea, we got third place in Modified I!

Don, I notice that you have a black Z06 and you are from Clearwater. Did I meet you at the Automotive Engineering show last year, then you stopped by one of our club meetings.
Congrates on the third place. I took third in my class also.

There were a total of five vendor booths, only one of which had stuff just for Corvettes (wheels). All the rest were "generic" vendors selling stuff like carpeting and bras.

I've seen better shows at the local Corvette Club monthly meeting. What a complete waste of a trip.
the reason the black z06 wasn't washed is because i drove the car from maryland to be in the show and knew the show was on saturday. the car was spotless on sat. morning. i stopped by on friday to see what was happening. it rained thursday and friday nites also. everyone had to work hard to get the cars cleaned up for the show on sat. except for trailored cars maybe. how about a little break here.!!!!!
