Default Eckler's 25th Corvette Reunion!

WAS THE PITS!

I went there yesterday morning! There were EIGHT, count 'em, EIGHT "show" Corvettes. One of them was a black C5 z06 that hadn't even been washed. There was dirty spray behind the front wheels where it hadn't even been cleaned.

There were a total of five vendor booths, only one of which had stuff just for Corvettes (wheels). All the rest were "generic" vendors selling stuff like carpeting and bras.

I've seen better shows at the local Corvette Club monthly meeting. What a complete waste of a trip.

So what are you supposed to do? Call and find out how many will actually show up before you come?

What was really the pits is that ECKLERS didn't even have a vendor booth. Never saw them there at all. Asked some of the vendors who were and they said they hadn't seen any Ecklers booth.

What a waste of a trip. Good thing it was in Orlando and I could visit Mickey Mouse.

Hope today's show was better. Would be rather embarrassing if not many showed up.

....

The had a mile long truck and trailer and their booth was in front of it...

Acutally there were bigger plans but after announcing the location of the show...
...Celebration began to cut the spots available for everything!

They posted the registration was closed online so everyone would know the deal...

Met a lot of nice folks and reunited with a lot of folks I used to see several years ago since I last showed StuzVette...

Oh and Ecklers will be returning to Titusville next year!!

peace

Location was better when you have your wife or girlfriend with you. It gave them the opportunity to look at something other then cars.

Lunch was easy to get and the sights were better then a big parking lot.

The down side for me was I also was ready to spend some cash and the items all would have been ordered. I wanted them now and not week later, I can shop a catalog from the house. I bet the show will be back at ecklers next year when they compare sales.

The cars were awesome and maybe the black car was dirty because he got caught in the rain on Friday, not much you can do about that.

I enjoyed the trip from Jacksonville anyway.

I was there yeasterday and had my 01 in the show. There were a few C1 and C2 no shows probably due to the weather, but I saw some great looking cars. All three major exhaust systems had boths setup. Van Steel Corvettes, Lloyd's Mats, as well as Ecklers had their trailer setup and they were taking orders at a table with I believe at least three people on laptops. The locations was great for the wife as there were shopping and plenty of places to eat. The black car that was mentioned , was there for only one reason, and that was to have a car cover on it that the vender was showing. He actually had to different types of covers on display. I took a lot of pictures and will post some later today.
Oh one other thing I took 3rd place in class I Street, that was comprised of 27 cars.

I guess it would have been very difficult for Eckler's to have brought their entire 60,000 plus parts inventory with them to Celebration. Would have needed one hell of a big trailer.

As far as being the same as staying home, and ordering your parts.....those who showed up can still order from home. The the big difference? They still get the 10% show discount..and FREE SHIPPING!, This offer will be good all week.

By the way OP....I believe it was their 29th reunion...not their 25th. Are you sure you were there??? The BIG Ecklers red truck and trailer was parked there Wednesday, and didn't move.

Every morning, the Ecklers crew had to set up the Vendors, and they were there before the Vendors even showed up. So you say you talked to the venders, and Ecklers was MIA?

The "Generic" list of some of vendors that were there.

Vendors
Covercraft Industries
Stainless Steel Brakes Corp.
AC Delco
Auto Custom Carpets, Inc.
C-Magic
Corsa Performance
Be Cool
Custom Thermoforming, Inc.
Seatbelt Solutions, LLC
Custom Autosound Mfg.
Factory Reproductions
K & N Engineering
Southern Performance Warehouse
Billy Boat Performance Exhaust
Lloyd Mats
Magnaflow Performance Exhaust
Trim Parts

My wife and I attended Saturday and it was a very nice setting. We enjoyed the walk down the streets and had lunch at a cafe.Got the latest in LLoyds mats too. Great looking cars and alot of nice people too. I like being able to purchase too but this was a class setting for such beautiful cars.See you in the parking lot next year.

All I can say is that the vendors I asked didn't know where they were. Maybe they just haul in the truck for a few hours a day to make an appearance.

Well Geebee, all I can ask is where all those vendors were? I went to every booth that was set up at noon (start time was 11:00). Never saw Magnaflow, Van Steel, C-Magic, Be Cool, Custom Thermoforming, Inc.,
Factory Reproductions, K & N Engineering or Southern Performance Warehouse

Since you and Stu obviously saw more than I did, I can only ask, did all that happen later? As I said in the first post, one of the vendors did say that more cars would be coming later in the day (didn't say anything about more vendors). Is there some trick to the scheduling that isn't advertised?

I was there & this was probably the worst 'Reunion' of them all, but it wasn't Ecklers fault. The people at 'Celebration' limited the number of spaces for the show cars at the last minute & totally refused to have 'swap meet' vendors. They didn't want that 'element' at their little community! Which is total crap. I have it on good authority that the next Reunion next March WILL be back in Titusville, as Ecklers now (again) owns the large glass building that had been leased out several years ago & what forced them to have the last 2 reunions in Old Town & than at Celebration. I give Ecklers many kudos for making these 2 past shows a reality, because I'm sure it really was a PITA for them to make these shows happen away from Titusville. I, for one, am really looking forward to being able to see the Reunion back in Titusville. I'm sure that they'll make the next one a great one.
