Not sure what is so , gave my opinion and the OP can either take it or leave it. I am no expert by any means and was just saying how I felt. Since I have spent the last 3 months shopping Vette prices before I bought one.
Anyway, that’s a good call on looking for more options regardless the price. I almost made the mistake of buying the first Vette I drove, very glad I waited. Ended up with the exact car I wanted for a better price.
Good Luck

Some of the price jump is just the rarity. When I was looking for a C5 I only wanted an FRC, and finding one that isn't Pewter is definitely a challange. I paid 23k for mine about 2 1/2 years ago with 43k miles and some mods already on the car. Wasn't a spectacular deal but it's the car I wanted so it was worth it me. I also found the elusive 99 FRC with HUD and dual climate control so I was pretty stoked. If you look on autotrader there is only like 15-20 FRC's for sale in the entire country, if that since I'm guessing, and most are probably pewter.
