Weiand Street Warrior update
I spoke to a Holley rep at the Race Performance Expo this morning. Holley and it's subsidiaries are doing fine. They are undergoing a major regrouping and bankruptcy was the best tool available, they are more than half way through the process.
As for the new composite LSX manifold they want them as bad as we do if not worse! Firstly they wanted proof that the piece will perform as Starr products claim, they are satisfied it will. Now it's a matter of tooling, they know these things are going to sell big time and want to be fully prepared to met demands.
I asked what was the bottom line on availability! He said they have been told "July which is French for August". So take that for what it's worth. If it makes 30 more HP than my Z06's LS6 manifold then I will be among many waiting in a long line to buy one.

It would be nice if it really does give the performance they claim. It would be even better if the delivery would have been what they said it would be at SEMA last year. I at least hope the price they originally said, about $600 will come to pass.

So ??? What's up?
A date?
"He said they have been told "July which is French for August"."
Well I'm french, July is 'Juillet'. August is 'Août'.
I'm waiting for this intake manifold.
I think I've just to buy a regular LS6 intake for my 99 C5

I'm glad they are keeping it flat black since it's a composite material. Chrome is for metal intake manifolds. However, it doesn't make much sense for it to gain 32rwhp over a stock LS6 intake, since the LS6 intake is not the weak point in these motors. LS6 intakes are good for 450rwhp or more.

32rwhp and 31 rwtq dont sound right....
maybe they meant to say after "this intake" 1 3/4s Lts 84mm tb and intake total gain was 32 rwhp? sounds about right to me....
u guys are getting happy for no reason.

I don't want to totally write it off just yet, but if it performs similar to a FAST90/92 for less money, I'm all for it. It doesn't mean I'll buy it right away, but I welcome the competition to the market.
