Yeah, I know I know, sometimes us newbies post the same questions that have been answered a hundred times, but I just want to say thanks to everyone who offers their input.
I had a few problems with my '99 FRC that I picked up a couple of months ago, and thanks to this board, I am sure I saved a bundle of money.
First, my remote didn't "stay" programmed. After research on this board, I replaced the remote (THANKS GENE!) and everything works fine. Hmmm...wonder what a stealership would have found?
Second, my gas gauge kept dropping out. On reccomendations from the board, I ran several bottles of Techron through the gas tank, and it works just fine now. I know for SURE if I brought it to a stealership I would have been paying for a new sender-ma-thingy.
Just wanted to say thanks to everyone!

Glad things worked out OK.

That's one great thing about this forum - just about every problem that pops up has been discussed before and a solution is just a post away. Lots of very knowledgeable people here.
Amen brother...The forum is your best friend. Even when I don't have a particular problem, I scan posts and have learned a ton about my vette, got hooked up with a great tuner, found great vendors, etc.
You are all a great bunch of guys (and women)!
PS: Some of you should go into stand up comedy!

Now if we can just find a cure for the common cold, end world hunger and end our dependency on foriegn oil - this will really be a great forum!
All kidding aside, with no disrespect for the other Corvette related sites - it is very interesting to participate on those forums. A question posted over there might sit for 12-24 hours before someone offers a response, and then the response isn't anywhere near as technically correct as the answers here.
A post here - will be at the bottom of the page within a couple of hours if it doesn't get much action.
So to you all - this is still the best forum going, but it's only as good as it's members. Just like any family or club, there are always politics and fueds, but at the end of the day - this is still the place to be!
