Default I need rotors

My present rotors of less then 3 yrs old are warped and causing the brakes to pulsate. Does anyone have experience with the Wilwood stock replacement drilled/slotted and zinc coated rotors? They seem to be reasonable at $500. Any help is appreciated. Thanks Doug

save some money and get OEM type replacements at NAPA for around $30 each. You can't find anyone that will even turn exisiting rotors for
that!

You can change them out in 20 min a side easily.

Sorry can't tell you about the wilwood. I like the two-piece Baer Rotors.

I have the baer eradispeeds on my '02 but for my '04 driver I'm not willing to pay about $1200. Actually, I just answered an email from my club member who has a friend with the baers with about 100 miles on them and is selling them for $400, so that is what I am going to do.

Good choice on the Baers. I sure like mine. Plus they are guaranteed against warping.

I'm gonna put some NAP rotors and some good brake pads on mine. I don't see see the fancy drilled slotted rotors as a good permance return
per dollar. If you have money to burn, have at it.

You can get a full set of Drilled and Slotted Zinc Washed rotors for about $150 on the bay.

Search 97-04 CORVETTE C5 FR/RR DRIL/SLOT ROTORS

I have had a set for over a year and they look and stop great

I got mine for about $500 for all four but that also included Hawk HPS pads. Check with Jason (Cajundude), for the Powerslot rotors.

They are not Chinese steel, unlike ebay/recent napa/ac delco replacements.

Baer and Wilwood are quality products. You get what you pay for... and remember, you need these things to STOP your vehicle!

Be careful with those cheap rotors though, as I went that route and regretted it, because the center hats are all rusted out and look like garbage! I trusted the packaging, which said it was coated with stuff to prevent rusting but within 12 hours of putting them on they started rusting. Had I known this I would've painted them before putting them on, or simply bought better rotors that didn't do this.

Guess it depends, my ebay set was zinc coated and NOTHING has rusted in over a year.........that includes the fire paths. A DD in very wet weather.

Went with the braided lines as well; no regrets.

I ran the Baer Eradispeeds for almost 5 years(2002-2007). I then went big with the Wilwood rotors and 6/4 calipers.

It may be hard to get just a Wilwood rotor review, because most go all the way with the calipers too.

As many have stated, upgrading brakes can become big money as well. Its all personal choices based what you are willing to pay.

I went the 13 inch rotor as to keep my oem wheels, 17 inch rims. Buying new wheels just to accomodate brakes was where I drew the line.

Thanks for the responses but I just bought a set of Baers for $400 from a friend of a friend. who may be joining our club. They have less then 100 miles and my red hub covers fit on these. Those cheap rotors that I have are now warped and the painted hubs are peeling off real bad. Thanks again.
