Replaced nittos with B.F. Goodrich Super Sports and love them - $900 out the door.

I put GS-D3's on mine and loved them for 20k miles & $1150... now I need new ones again. I will probably go with a longer lasting tire this time.

You might be able to find a harder compound, all-season tire, but why? The GSD3s are (according to an independent testing house) among the longest-lasting of the super high-performance Summer tires. Anything that lasts longer will undoubtedly be a much worse performer. Is that what you want?

Got a set of Veradistiens coming soon. Lots of good comments about them. I had the factory run flats and I think that they are quite loud. We will see in a couple of weeks.

Hi pec98 -

I have Toyo Proxis T1-R's on my Z now.

I really like them.

I was concerned that I would not like them as much as the F1 Supercars, but I find them to be smoother riding and a bit quieter.

My real concern was the lack of availability of the Goodyears, not to mention that any Goodyear for our cars will cost an arm and a leg.

The Toyo's were 50% of the cost of the Goodyears, so I figured I would give them a try.

Love em so far and kept $750 for something else.....

best regards -

For runflats, I like the Firestone Firehawks. Non-runflats, the Goodyear GS-D3.

I now have 700 miles on my new Goodyear F1 all seasons (non runflats) I absolutely love them . Go to Tire Racks comparisons and compare the handling reviews Of the GSD3's with these all seasons. They are very, very close. But they have a treadwear rating of 420 vs. 280! goodyear is also offering a 30 day trial...if you don't like them spend more and get the GSD3's. I have written several extensive reviews and answered a bunch of PM's and emails about these tires. I drive hard and want top flight performance and hated the runflats. I also don't like replacing tires every 20 -23k miles. these are a great choice for me and I don't feel like I compromised on performance. the bonus was that they ARE as wide as the OEM runflats despite the width shown on tireracks sight. Feel free to contact me or just look up my recent posts on tires.
