Brian,
Your box is still showing full. I'd like to complete the set and get the back-ups. PM me when you can.
Jon,
...reminds me of a story, " No $h!t, there I was..." : )
Just kidding. Let me know how things go. Thanks for everything...
over and outey
I agree 100%. Got mine a few days ago and put them on last night. they are Sweet! Took a few pics. Regular no-flash shots allow the halo light to over saturate the shot and a flash shot brings out the center reflector. Neither are representative of what they look like at night. So I increased the shutter speed and took my favorite shot. It's a little dark for other details but shows off the halos nicely. If you look at how dark everything else is, you can tell the halos give off nice light.
Edit: Forgot to add my thanks to Brian and Jon. brian was great to work with on this and Jon has excellent workmanship and was also good to work with.

Man those mod halos are sweet. I might be looking to order these. Would anyone happen to have a pic of either the unmodded or the mod halos tail lights with the tail light louvers? (the ones that look like these.)

just curious, while you were in there did you happen to see how to disable the resistor from the Halo?
they draw alot of current and get very hot. I have an LED flasher in my car so I have no need for the extra resistor to make the halo's flash properly. it would be really nice to elimiate that completely so the halo's don't draw so much current. can I remove the resistor and leave the wires open? or would I need to short them? I Can't tell if the resistor just adds to the load or if it also reduces the voltage for the LEDs...in which case removing it is not an option.

There's a big silver thing on the back of the Halo housing. I believe this is a voltage regulator of some kind. Either way it has aluminum heat syncs and since it's located outside the housing, I dont' think it poses any damage to the electronics.
You may want to look into richard's LED hyperflash eleminator. It takes the place of the resistor and installs easily under the driver's dash.

Perhaps this is because the Halos were designed in such a way that they don't cause hyperflash. The silver box on the back getting hot is similar to an amplifier, if it's hot, that means it's working and it's okay.
....and i'm curious, how many of you have your "hands up your car's butt" while you're driving?
They look good!, glad you like them, I am getting ready to tear into my own again, I ordered some VERY bright red led's and I am gonna put them in the halo to see if I can brighten it up even more, necessary? no, but tempting? oh yes.
