Got a wave today..............
from a guy in a beautiful newer yellow mustang shelby/saleen. Was the darndest thing and so unexpected. He was turning and I was admiring the car when he waved.
I was kind of dumbfounded and forgot to wave back. Man it was a really nice car and if for some reason if the owner see's this sorry I didn't wave back. Nice stang!! Anyone else ever get a wave from a non vette driver?

Got one today from an older model white mustang cobra.
It was like a 2002-2003 model. I waved back.
All in all I think it just has to do with everybody being a brotherhood and no matter what brand of car you have, if its performance, you are in the family....
At least thats what I'm gonna let non Vette owners think...

I've given a thumbs up or THE head nod to Mustangs before but they usually don't care. I usually get something in return from hot rodders though or most classic cars. Most newer things like Mustangs and even in my area the Ferraris and other cars give you the look like you're not good enough for them.
I reserve THE wave for Corvettes though. It's usually a combination of the hand raise while keeping the palm still on the wheel or resting on the door when the window's open and a also a head nod.
The other day I got a wave out of a nice blond lady driving a blue C5. She initiated the wave too. Usually when I see women driving a vette and they don't seem to care or notice the other vette owner, me, waving to them.
I like the Mustangs though, not as much as the Corvettes though. So it's good to hear of some good stang owners out there admiring our cars and being friendly.

I have waved at other corvette owners from my Stang. I don't see anything wrong with it. I get way more compliments on the stang than I do on the vette, but they are just cars to tell you the truth; most of the time the owners are the problem.

I get alot of looks / nods from crotch rocket riders around here, i just sometimes nod back if it's something respectable (busa, r6, etc). I nod to mustangs cobras/shelbys and really nice looking classics, no matter the car. I appreciate all kinds of cars... but the wave is always for vettes.

I've been riding motorcycles for 35 years, street bikes for 29 years...we wave to other bikers with an open hand, arm straight out at about a position of 7:00. Is there a COOL Corvette way to say Hey nice ride??
