well we hit it ,3.99 a gallon here in Westchester new york, whats the price of high test in your city, some bodys gotta help us here, and how is diesel which is less refined then gasoline cost more??? is anyone out there thinking of selling the vette?? Im sure not
3.79 for premium in suburbs of atlanta. Definitely NOT selling our vette. We just bought a Ford Fusion a month and a half ago and it gets 25 city, 28-29 hwy; the vette gets about 22 city, 27 hwy. I dont see how it can get much better in gas mileage...unless you had maybe a hybrid, but that will NOT replace our vette!! We will make adjustments elsewhere!
I Just filled up at 4.18 a gallon for plus. I saw it as high as 4.29 at another place. diesel was 4.48. I'm in Los Angeles, well west of Los Angeles. (Hollywood, Beverly Hills)
Just filled the tank here in Brainerd, MN. $3.53.9. And I thought WE were paying too much!
I know this isn't a political forum, but irregardless of which party is in power, this nation's economy can't continue to take hits like the sub-prime mortgage fiasco, rising fuel prices, and an endless military operation in the middle east.
I know it's just my opinion, but if oil prices were going up JUST due to limited supply, then presumably oil company's would be paying more for their crude, which would tend to hold their profits down. But when these companies are making record profits quarter after quarter it suggests that their costs aren't rising as fast as their prices. Thus we are indeed paying more than we should be for fuel. Our government must act to curb these profits by limiting how much profit an oil company can earn per barrel of fuel. Sadly, I don't believe our government has the courage to do this.
If and when our trucking industry simply shuts down the semi's that haul our food to market, our fuel to the service stations, and our raw materials to our factories, then I believe we can expect our government to wake up and immediately blame the other party for all our nation's ills. But by then I wonder if the long-term damage will be too great to undo.
I apologize for my lengthy rant.
