I only see red Xs here at work so I don't know what he's showing, but here's my story. I've made 2 3000 mile trips up into Colorado from TEXAS and back. Fast highway driving and put-putting around behind Winnebangos. '03 A4 coupe and '04 Z16 both average about 30 mpg
overall. the 03 was 30.1 after all reciepts were added up. I picked up a 99 FRC not long ago from Carolina and drove it back to TEXAS. I knew the mileage was going to be fine. Near Houston the rice paddies are next to the highway so you know it's level. At 70mph, instantaneous mileage showed 37 to 39 mile per gallon. Unbelievable. Gas reciepts seem to back it all up. I feel more socially responsibe now that I'm driving an economy car.
Dito, friends just don't believe me. Trip from Phoenix to LA was just shy of 29 with a head wind. Back and forth DD I'm usuall at 22 mpg.
Of cource weekend driving - maybe 16 mpg. Hey its more fun @ 16 or less. Gotta love it
I also have enjoyed mileage. But I recently put swapped the Goodyear run flats for some Sumitomo, non-run flat, perfomance tire with z06 rims. The softer rubber has dropped my mpg about 2 mpg.
Only one small detail,,Gas up and do the math,,I don't know about the highway only,,but local combined mileage the computer tends to be a little optimistic, usually about a mile and a half..That being said you would STILL be getting GREAT mileage.Congrats !!
