Did you have this conversation with Ryne before the tune?
Honestly, I'd be real disappointed in Ryne if he didn't tell you to wait for the tune, knowing you were going to mod it anyway. Unless they're going to re-tune for free you just wasted some bucks.
i update tunes for free, as long as a basic upgrades are performed, such as headers,ls6 intake, intake etc etc. if he goes in to a motor or adds some sort of forced induction (minus nitrous) i will pro rate him on his tune.
Since all those upgrades work best toghether I would wait and do all at the same time and most likely be cheaper due to labor at one time or just do the gears which is a real seat in the pants upgrade.
It depends on whether you want straight-line acceleration or handling. Building a car for the 1/4 mile (or the street) or a car for a road course (or mtn twisties) is two very different approaches. HP is not everything.
Sorry not much i can do. I have safe timing and good airfuel on 91 octane, the car came in with knock i fixed it, on top of that picked up some more horsepower, sorry that number disappoints you. I would rather tune on the safe side, not the ragged edge.
