OK I hesitate to post this idea because of all my liberal joking around here.

Go to tech section, LT`s vs. shorty headers. There is talk of a little girl suffering terminal cancer. Some members are trying to provide a, sounds like, last ride for the girl in a muscle car. That is her wish. Why can`t some of you that live near them,(as many as possible), show up with him ?

The area appears to be Sanford, N.C.

Please.

I wish this could get posted in all model section of Vettes here.

If people knew about this, and it becomes very supported, I truly believe, at least for a moment, some "magic" could and will happen.

I need the guy I was talking to "Pray" to chime in. If anyone can further, pardon me please, validate this awful situation, please advise of anything I can do to try and help.

Thank's for the support guys. The little girl name is Alli and she is nine years old. She is suffering from Ewing Sarcoma, a rare form of cancer. She only has a couple of weeks left. She went to the hospital today for a problem with her legs. Tomorrow she has to go back so they can drain alot of fluid off her lungs and abdomen. This operation and the effects of it will determine how Saturday will go. She is very strong and always has a smile on her face.

I actually found out about her from a friend that is a social worker. She works with the homeless and needy. It actually brings a lump to my throat every time I listen to any of her cases. There are alot of unfortunate people ou there hurting pretty badly. The family is already $45,000 in debt and that is climbing. They are planning to take her to Florida to the Animaly Kingdom on Sunday as her last request. If there is any one from my area that reads this before Saturday and wants to show up it would be greatly appreciated. My only other request would be that any one that shows up would be willing to donate $20 or so for their trip.

Thank's again for all of your concern. I really didn't intend for any of this to get started. Thank's to 50th as well for bringing this little girl to the forefront.

I see in the other thread that Cajun will give her a ride. Kudos to him!! If that doesn't work out, when I return from my business trip, I could do it on Saturday May 17th.

Hopefully they informed Disney of her problem. Knowing their organization, I am sure that they would provide some support in making her trip special.

 

i will be willing to organize it and post everyones contributions we could use paypal and believe me im an honest person as i work with the special education community come on guys lets help this family out every little bit counts if Pray wants to run this that is fine if not ill take the donation and mail it to the family
