Default Dash plaque

I was browsing thru Ebay and saw this auction for dash plaques. I just emailed them with the question of duplicating the C5 Z06 logo/emblem/badge . The only other decent dash plaque i've seen was $40http://www.afterthoughtsauto.com/corz06facrat.html

Let us know what their answer is. This looks like a pretty good product. I would be interested in one myself. Thanks, HS

The $40 one actually looks pretty good. The previous owner of mine put on the one that goes on the ashtray door. It looked tacky as hell; I took it right off.

I have the one from After Thoughts Auto for a non Z06 C5 but I had to get it customized because their "factory ratings" are wrong for a '01-'02.

Default a 2nd look..................

Ok, like most of use I'm always looking for something a bit different , something that will stand out , yet is not Bling. Such as this Z06 spec /dash plate.

I wrote the company with a suggestion for this Z06 dash spec plate. The owner wrote back and was open to the idea ( particulary when I mentioned that I have a bunch of friends on the Corvette Forum that may be interested as well.

Ok , the owner , Howard said there was no problem with GM trade mark/ logo infringements. One issue down.
Howard also suggested that the design , which we are working on incorporate your VIN number. Now that ,I think would make it really indivdual and unique. I haven't seen anyone else do that. Or add your name.

We are now talking about layout and maybe the Z06 will be a black backround , similar to this:[IMG][/IMG]

Who has some input as to dimensions, black backround or brushed, polished ,ect., what should be on the dash plate? This is another generic plate he does:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Musta...QQcmdZViewItem

Default Not going to happen...........

Just got another reply from the vendor (1:15 Am PST) and what he does is different than what I wanted. He does basicly a silk screen or printing onto the prep aluminum plaque. I want something more substancial.
The AfterThoughts dash plaque is molded or stamped? I haven't seen one in person, any one know?

I'm going to follow up .

I still have an interest in one similar to the one listed on eBay even if it is printed rather than etched or engraved. If you decide you don't want to persue that one could you send me the vendors contact information.

I'd kinda like to have the girl sitting on the Camaro as a dash plaque.

Default I'm back talking to the dash plaque vendor........

I have done some further reasearch to fine a vendor to give me what I want. I contacted a laser company in Texas but they could not do the Z06 logo because of trade mark infringements. So I went back to this vendor; http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...221215489&rd=1

What he needs is a jpeg photo of the Z06 logo. I supplied what I thought were good ones: [IMG][/IMG][IMG][/IMG] And this one minus the Yellow[IMG][/IMG] Then he sent me back this one as a result:[IMG][/IMG]
So there we are at the moment trying to get the Z06 logo correct. Anyone with a better jpeg Z06 logo please post or send to my email address ( see profile).

Opinions please as to which you like best , so far! With or without the 405 hp also.
