Does Torch Red fade
I was wondering if any one with a red C5 has had problems with the red faiding over time.

I've had two T.R C5's....the 1st one was exposed to the south florida elements, no garage, no port and no cover. waxed it and cleaned it often(took care of it
) paint never faded. The 2nd one is babied....no reason to fade. Chevy paint techs. have done a great job in avoiding fading IMO..

Dont know about TR but my Mag Red sat in the Vegas sun for 3 years without fading. Plenty of wax and it'll stay looking like new

My TR FRC has 115K miles on it...The exterior color is the same shade as the paint in the door jambs and underhood areas...So, I'd say no fading here...

It will fade, as will any other color if you don't keep it waxed.

Sorry about the spelling error – fade – does it loose its brightness.

actually red is one of the weakest colors in the spectrum, unless I'm not aware of it(which is very possible
) it's one of the 1st colors to breakdown, if u had a panel repainted to the factory paint code without trying to match whats on the car, it would probably not match as well as some other colors, JMHO, of course taking care of it and waxing etc. helps to slow the process.

I Disagree . All paints faid. That is why you have to blend when doing paint work.
