Default Corbeau A4 question

I think iam going to buy the corbeau a4's in microsuede and was wondering what i need to do to get them in the car. Do i need new seat brackets? any electrical work? how long does it usually take to install (ball park). How much of an increase are these over stock sport seats in comfort and holding you in the seat while aggresively turning?

Make sure you get the correct sizes, I was going to buy a pair once but I couldn't fit on the seats! !

Too tight! ! !

I'm trying to figure out how uncomfortable these would be on a long trip compared to my rebuilt stock sport seats.

DON'T GET THE MICROSUEDE SEATS. I love my A4 seats but I have a big fading issue with the microsuede fabric. And I drive a coupe

I have the Corbeau A4's in black microsuede. Corbeau sells the brackets to mount them in the C5. They are a really tight fit and you have to put the driver's side seat on the passenger side of the car and vice versa to get them to fit. Otherwise the recline lever will hit the lower seat belt retractor. The area a bit of pain to wrestle in, as they are a tight fit between the center tunnel and the seat belt retractor. Once in, its a pain to reach the recline lever, but not impossible.

The padding is much firmer than the stock seat, particularly on the bottom. I've driven 4 hours from Los Angles to Spring Mountain Raceway a few times now and while my butt hurts a little at the end of the trip it's not too bad. Certainly not as comfortable as stock though.

The increase in lateral support over stock is night and day. My first time out on the track with these I didn't have time to hook up my 4 point harness and I found I was sliding around less with the stock seat belt in the A4's than I was in the OEM seats with the harness. With both the harness and the A4s I've really been able to relax and feel the feedback through the wheel and the seat of my pants. In my opinion, getting a supportive seat is one of the best improvements you can do for driving on the track.

My only complaint about using them as a daily driver is that the shoulder area is a little narrow. I'm 6' 165 lbs. and while there's plenty room at my waist, my shoulders feel I little squished. There are stocking Corbeau dealers around the country, and I was to find one to sit in before buying.

I've had mine in for several months now and have not seen any fading issues. They've always been a little lighter than black. In some lighting, they almost look deep purple. But again, they've always been that way and haven't changed.
