Id like to know how many of you have gotten pay raises that keep pace with the rising cost of gasoline....I know I certainly havent...
Im also waiting for the day the trucking industry tells America to F*CK OFF and leaves their rigs parked at truck stops!!!

I work for myself and I want a pay raise, my sales are down atleast 50% year over year, tell me how I give my employees a pay raise when my income is down 50% and I also pay more at the pump, but the good part is I am still the boss and do not have to take anyones crap My employees both asked for a raise and I laughed at them and told them you want a raise get off your lazy **** and sell more and you will get a raise

Yes it's high. Will I pay it, yes, will I like it H--l no. But what I won't pay is a $ 1.00 + for a bottle of water. I love to drive the vette. So I will cut back, buy cheeper even do with out if I have too. Stop bitching DO SOMETHING. Call, send letters to your congressman etc. I know it will be hard for some to do, but drink one less beer a day[ $1.50]x 30 days = $45.00 buys a lot of gas.

Default Ouch

Up in Upstate NY our premium 93 octane has been hiting $4.29 a gallon at Mobile. I've even seen some stores hit $4.39.

I'm having too much fun driving my baby to care about gas prices..

No pay raise here....some have been told they should be glad they have a job.. With 25 each way to work its killing my budget. I fill between 1/4 & 1/2 tank just so it feels less painful. I know.... it all works out the same in the end.
Dumb me , I bought a RV 2 years ago.... its been park for months now. Good luck people.

Filled the vette up 2 days ago before I left on business to New Jersey. Cost me $55 at 3.72 a gallon ( @ the Costco in San Antonio ). Diesel for the truck is 4.45. I remember when diesel was cheaper than regular unleaded.

$4.17 for 93octane and a whopping $4.69 for diesel, and this isn't a big city. Gonna fill'er up and head to KC,fuel bill will probably close to one night hotel cost.

"Hell", they ride goats or donkeys while we drive Corvettes! I'll keep on being an American thank you!
Dave

If you think I want to pay what the rest of the world pays you are wrong........How long to you think we'd keep driving our Corvettes around at $8 a gallon???...Sure they get great mileage, but at $8 a gallon it wouldnt take long for them all to become garage queens!!

Actually, $45.00 buys only about 11 gallons of gas....That's not a LOT.....I dont drink beer at all, and I dont smoke, I dont gamble, nor do I chase wild women (other than my wife)....I very seldom take a vacation, and while my co-workers are out golfing or fishing on their days off Im working a second job....It's been that way for years....Funny, many of my co-workers drive diesel trucks..theyre gonna have to look into a second job pretty damned soon if they intend to keep driving them...
Oh, as far as giving up that daily beer....pretty soon you'll be giving up a daily meal to buy your gas.....

Diesel SHOULD be cheaper than regular unleaded.....It costs less to refine diesel than gasoline....but in a day when everyone and his brother drive a diesel truck the oil companies are gonna jump on the chance to make big $$ from it....I truly dont know how the trucking industry is doing it.....We ALL depend on the trucking industry in one form or another....Sooner or later we'll ALL feel the crunch...and it wont be at the gas pump...

I'd hate to have to play poker with the oil company execs!! They were able to stand up in front of congress and testify under oath,,,,"it's not OUR FAULT,,WE'RE ONLY MAKING 4cents A GALLON"!!!!!! I could have been having one heluva wild life if I could stand there and lie to my wife with a straight face looking soooo sincere like they did!!!
