Default Converting to Auto Climate

Ok, multiple searches with not a single relevant result. Has anybody on here switched out your manual climate control to an Auto / Dual Zone climate control?

I enjoy my '99 FRC, but besides being a big fan of auto climate control, I think the manual controls look generic.

Anybody done this or thought about the parts list involved?

Not that I've ever seen. The general consenus is that it'd be a complicated mod.

If you look at the wiring diagrams there are a lot of extra hook ups with the HVAC vs the manual.

I have auto and am not a fan, i would guess this mod would be complicated and not worth the time, drive faster and you won't have time to look at the dash

I only use my auto in manual mode, just doesn't work well.

The dual climate HVAC system sucks in IMHO. I would prefer the manual system, lhe dual climate system just happpened to be on the car.

after driving to the Cruise-In and back in Yvonnes 2003 (with auto climate control)... I much prefer the manual controls in my 2002. It's sooo much easier to get it adjusted to where I don't have to touch it.

On Yvonnes 2003, we were always fiddling with it; ended up setting it to manual operation.

I can recall only once in over 3 years we have used the Auto feature. But then again in Texas, it's usually set @60 deg and recirc nine months out of the year.

I have to say this has been a great response, and certainly abolishes my desire to make the conversion.

Thanks guys!

Bryan

Bringing this back from the dead. Just wanted to see if anybody has done the swap from manual control to dual auto. I want to do it to my 99. Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks
